Dear people collecting signatures/pledges/money on the 3rd street prominade. My key cards, brisk pace and lack of camera should tip you off that I'm not a tourist. Don't act surprised when I treat you like the idiot you are for bothering me.

Every damn day with these people.

Musical perception 99%

You scored higher than 99% of the population.

This is perhaps the most traditional measure of musical skill and indicates how well you understand the qualities of music, such as rhythm, pitch, tuning and genre.

You scored high for perception, which suggests that you have a good ear for music. You can probably sing in tune and are better than average at keeping a beat. You can also tell the difference between types of instruments and musical genres. People with high ability are often able to create music on their own or with others. You are likely to have performed well in the other musical tests.

----

I always score that high on this kind of test, but I've never taken any lessons for anything. This particular one's by the BBC.

My dad bought a Les Paul today.

Now we have a USA Fender Strat, and a Gibson Les Paul in the house.

I can't wait for baseball. I'm already the best pitcher not locked onto varsity, so hopefully I get to throw a lot this year. My curveball and changeup are gonna fuck with people all year.

Woke up today and made the 8's for a McCormick 40th anniversary jersey. Name plate to be made by the weekend.

Now, I just hope they resign him next season :P

I'm leaving for my parents' house tonight! Yay! I can't wait to get away. I'm missing another opportunity to make some money acting due to going away for the weekend, so that's some fun I'll be missing out on (plus it's like $12 an hour), but whatever. I'm going somewhere with my mother and cousin Friday night (Friday is my 21st birthday), either Maine or Manhattan I'm sure... hopefully Manhattan because it's too cold to swim in the ocean, although there is a break wall at one of the beaches there that provides a great venue for watching the sunrise, and the last time I did that was with my father when I was seven. Aaaanyway... I need the break from being on campus in general.

The Fender is mine, have had it for almost 4 years now, and I think my dad bought it in 01 or something.

All I know is it was made in 97.

I've never understood why people use those twitter tags everywhere, regardless of whether or not they're actually on twitter. Then again, I think twitter is stupid, so... yeah.

I'm really tired and have a test in half an hour.

A lot of people don't understand the usefulness of Twitter.

On trade deadline day I can make a list of the Twitter accounts of various media personalities and follow that list, getting deadline updates on the fly before ESPN's ticker, and non-twitter users. And I can do it all while discussing said deadline day with my friends and fellow bloggers who are also on Twitter without changing to a different application.

If I am a fan of an artists' work who isn't very popular in the mainstream, I can follow them on twitter and keep up on the release of new material, of signings, tours, conventions, etc.

It's also great for promoting writing/blogging. My traffic wouldn't be half of what it is without twitter.

Twitter is basically facebook minus everything that isn't useful in any way (like farmville). Can share links, pics, status updates, blog posts, etc.

I feel that people that knock twitter for being "just status updates" have a very poor understanding of it as a whole and how it has transformed media.

I just found out reddit is down, that Tyler Kennedy might face supplemental discipline for kicking Eric Brewer, about the pranking of Briere's street, read about the potential nuclear crisis in japan, am talking with phil, and got a laugh checking up on a friend's mustache for Martin.

To do this I could have gone to:
Reddit
ESPN.com or TSN.com
TBN
A news site
AIM/Facebook chat
Said Friend's facebook page

OR

just twitter.

That's how I used to view Twitter, but I really found it handy during the Olympics last year because it was so easy to keep tabs on everything that was going on. Now I use it mainly for hockey/Sabres news, but I also use it to keep tabs on what's going around Buffalo, world news/politics, music, and just keeping up with friends. It really is handy, and I definitely used to be one of the people who thought Twitter was really stupid.
