just asking...what would the NHL do if say....Meyers drilled Briere into the boards head first and he was concussed?

Good question, cuz myers is respected, he's won the Calder...so I guess, 5 game suspension for Briere?

That is what Pierre Maguiere said but I might have heard that wrong but still buffalo had a much better record without Roy for the last 4 months. Coincidence??

Well, these guys never quit but they always come up short.

However, I'm proud of the comeback they've made this season. From last in the league to forcing the defending East champion to game 7 without 2/3 of their top 4 forwards. Nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm not as broken up this year as I was last year. The Flyers are a flat out better team in the Sabres aside from their goaltender. They had far less to contend with in terms of injuries and far better players to slide into the lineup in place of those injured players. The officiating was a crapshoot again as it always has been in the NHL. I can't in good conscience blame it. Officiating doesn't cause you to blow a 3-1 lead in an elimination game, shitty play does. The Sabres came into this game with several players who spent much or most of the season in the AHL or benched among them Sekera, Butler, Gragnani, Ellis, and Mancari. And in spite of their goaltending issues the Flyers still suit up two guys with Stanley Cup Playoff experience.
