He just looks like he gets it. That penalty shot, he just knew he was going to score, there was no question.

Right?

The way he was acting, and the expressions on his face... It was like there was no way in hell he was going to miss. It was awesome.

I voted yes.

Btw, Tsn.ca has Clarke on pace for 49 G, 82 P. Wouldn't that be swell? :D

I know Ruff did not want to disrupt chemistry but while vanek is out i kind of would like to see how the general would do on a line with roy and stafford. I mean hecht, needs to stay on a line with grier so he doesn't slip back to the jochen hecht of last year, and the general has proven he belongs there more than hecht. to early for me to vote however but if he keeps this up than my answer will definitely be yes, even if he hits a small (few game) slump.

I voted "yes", not based on hockey knowledge...based on "God I hope so."

Arguably our best forward right now.

I am shocked right now. I was pretty low on Mac coming into this year. I'm LOVING the way he's playing right now.

Great start; let's see if he can maintain it. He has put together good brief stretches before, only to taper off. Major bonus if he can keep it going...

If he keeps playing with Connolly he's going to get a lot of chances. The downside is being part of an undersized and non-physical line. They will be hard pressed to keep producing against teams like Boston, Philly, NJ, that play a tight checking or physical game.

Lindy today gave Clarke the kiss of death: He called him the team's best competitor so far.

Quote:
(WGR 550) ...MacArthur has started the season well scoring four goals and two assists. Ruff said, "It's maturity, he's stronger, he has more endurance in his game but I think you point to maturity. There a level of maturity where he understands how hard he has to work, he's got to make it hurt when he feels tired and you see that in his shifts now. I think he's been our best player, he's been our best competitor and that's something he can be pretty proud of from where he was at last year."

Ruff hasn't had to scream and yell.

But Mac has been our best player, he hustles, fights for the rebounds and cuts to the goal.
