my beloved zune died. and i mean, you could SEE it go. it was weird.

first, it wouldnt load songs while syncing. then it wouldnt even play the music that was already on it. then it finally died and wont turn on. the HD made whirring sounds with clicks and grinding too. im REALLY bummed. 16,000 songs. from 3 different computers (2 are long dead)..... to put that in perspective, THIS computer has 700 songs on it.

so, im in the market for a new MP3 player. since zunes arnt made anymore (a new 120 GB zune, which mine is, goes for 600 bucks due to their rarity)... have any suggestions?

the good news is i got a job today. its super shitty, but its a fucking job. in this economy... ill throw my pride to the side and work for a little money.

They make Zunes, just not the 120gb versions. If you want that high of a GB MP3 player, the only thing out there is the iPod classic which is 160gb, and it's 300 bucks.

they no longer make any zunes. the zune HD is still sold, but once they are gone, thats it, from my understanding. as it is, i found a zune HD 32 today, so i bought it.

thats still alot of space, but i reeeeaaallly miss my 120. already. i had 100 GB left to fill. and i was going to fill it. any way. bummer eh?

and its too bad, because the zune interface is so simple. plug in and play. and they are super rugged and durable. they just didnt sell well.

but as a whole, MP3 players are going out already.

Yea, it's hard to compete with the iPod in all honesty. And most phones are having integrated MP3 playback anyways.

but ive had 3 ipods, and the zune interface and program is sooo much more simple. i hate itunes. that program wouldnt upload songs, randomly delete songs... hated it.

I don't have a single problem putting songs on my iPhone or anything. Downloaded every song, and a simple copy to library for me and they all went there.

ive enver really had any difficulty with iTunes, even less now. not to mention its saved my ass a couple times

the fact that my ipod would routinely not link up and upload songs from my computer to my ipod, and randomly delete songs... it was maddening. it would take me an hour to add one song to my ipod. i vowed never to get an apple product again.

Wow, UB is stupid. And I really, really hate the stupid HUB.

I'll take anything to an iPod. The hardware itself is nice, the integrated software is fine, but iTunes is awful. I refuse to even have it on my computer anymore.

Foobar2000 for a library on my computer + dragging the files onto the device works fine for me...and it's simple and foolproof. And it doesn't take hours to do.

what did they do this time?

(HUB makes me want to infect the internal data on the computers)

Experiencing some major withdrawals tonight for some reason. Getting close to the 6 month mark since our last excursion to the 716. Could have sworn I smelled the goodness of Pearl Street grill while in the mall today. I'm thinking a trip back to Buffalo could be in the works this fall! My bro will kill me though because he's been grilling me about going out to Edmonton for vacation the last 4 years now. Although I’m sure Edmonton is a nice city, it’s not Buffalo.

Is it bad that I would give up winning the lottery to live there?
