A weekend of white water rafting, and hiking in the Adirondacks is on tap. Hotness.

(For Pat, since he'll ask : Black River, then Mount Marcy. :p )

nice, the black is a nice paddle. how are you getting to Marcy? the loj? Duck hole?

Black River was awesome. Got a couple really good pics, will post. For Marcy, the girl who booked the campsite got one at Lincoln Pond in E-Town, since everything close was booked because of the Ironman. 45 minute drive to the Loj. Which sucked.

We hicked in and out from the Loj. I didn't summit; made it to where the steep slate starts not far past that clearing, and just didn't have anything left. Knew I couldn't make the rocks past the tree line.

I've never done anything over 3000ft before, and nothing that difficult or long. Pack was too heavy, and I didn't eat enough at breakfast, so I really blew myself up. My own fault; learning experience.

lake tear of the clouds, i think is where you got to. you and i should go take a trip sometime.

This is as close as I got:

The lake is on the SW side. We came up Van Hovernberg on the east side.

I'd totally be down for a hike with you Pat. Might have to wait until next year, but I'd really like to see more of the area up there. Maybe even go for all 46. :p

I know I'm late with this but, ICHIRO IS A YANKEE??? WTF??????????? This is why MLB baseball has turned into such a joke. The Seattles and Torontos (not to mention the freakin Expos) of the world are just farm teams for the Yankees, Sox, and the hot national league team of the year. Fucking pathetic. Long live Area 51 in Safeco!

its fantastic. i guess Ichiro wanted out of Seattle (dont blame him) and the Yankees, i guess, made the best offer of 2 minor leaguers...it was a total steal for NY. the prospects they gave up arent even that good.

the Marlins are more of a joke. they have a fire sale about every 5-7 years of all their good players.
