Are they going to come back once the lockout is over? This year, I mean (I'd hopefully assume they're going to get a deal done AT LEAST this year)...

Yea they will. Most of the contracts are on a month to month basis or until the lockout is over it seems, at least with other players. The NHL has their rights first anyways.

Austrian news sites report that Vanek will play for the Graz 99ers. He might play his first game on Friday. SInce I live in Graz this is awesome news.

Neither Vanek or the 99ers have confirmed yet though.

EDIT: It's official: http://www.thomasvanek.at/index.php?id=2&L=1
EDIT2: His contract goes till November 4 (11 or 12 games), unless the lockout ends earlier.
EDIT3: Already thinking about buying tickts for Friday and a 99ers Vanek jersey (no. 20)

Just bought my tickets for friday. I hope Vanek plays, it'll be weird to see him in a 99ers jersey.

It's really unfortunate that their jerseys are ugly as fuck. Don't know what to do.

EDIT:
Their warm-up jersey looks decent though. I might go with this one.

Poor Tropp. An ACL injury in the NHL is bad news bears. Didn't Andrew Peters have trouble with his knee after one?

I don't think Sulzer's going to be as good as the small sample size he gave us last year. He's so inconsistent.

The Leafs game where he had the two goals and three points, he was also at fault for a lot of goals where Toronto players would simply outskate him.

I won't deny, he looked good, but he's been a middling, borderline AHL player for most of his career. That doesn't just change overnight.

Before he came to Buffalo I read about how he's a reliable player. Sometimes guys are just solid put ins with potential for a starting job, but are overlooked because of other bigger named players. He could be good.
