Please explain what this means. I just saved it again and it was still "scene".

My bad, I got it now. I'm in NC now, but you'll see in my location that I would be East Aurora - zip code 14052.

Yeah it wasn't the file name that was as important. This is stemming from the fact that we think the photo may be a section of the aurora borealis.

And that's good to know.

who here lives in East Aurora

Okay Montalo, please explain this. I should have noticed sooner that PSP's post about the aurora borealis is no explanation, because it came after this post of yours.

let me rephrase myself

the origional pictue, which i personally believe to be a part of the mac leopard wallpaper, of the aurora borealis

the filename of the mac wall paper is aurora, and i believe there to be a connection between aurora and east aurora, which is where the victim may live

Okay, I guess that explains it. It just seemed like there was something fishy going on because when I save PSP's photo it is "northernlights" or something. Your picture saves as "untitled". I've never had a mac.
Anyway, East Aurora power! I used to live about 2 blocks from Vidler's as a kid. It's still my favorite store of all time...except for the beer store!

aurora is also a city in illinois.... wozniak?

while i guess that connection could be made with the whole Illinois thing. Aurora is south of Chicago. im located north. granted that to someone who has never been here that means nothing. i actually think im safe this round.

however, if we are running with the aurora theory. waynes world took place in Aurora Illinois. anyone have any connection to that?

 Poor you. I didn't even think of that. When I looked at the name of the image, I just assumed that "scene" went along with the picture - of scene of lord knows what. Almost as if the Assassin didn't bother to change the tag when they uploaded it because it had no relevance?

I don't know. There sure are some pretty skies in here though.

Okay. Ima' back to catching up on the thread since I'm done with the Pilgrimage to the Christmas tree farm. I'm cold!

Well the color around the white dot (if you zoom in really close it's just a dot, one pixel square) is purple.

I've seen fading like that in Paint if you try to make a custom color.

If you were to make this color with an HTML color code, it looks to be either 6600CC or 6633CC.

Maybe it has to do with an artsy person who does edits pictures, or someone who likes purple.

I keep searching to find some hidden message like last time, but I don't think that's the case this time around. The purple is a dead match to Paint based on your pic. I don't know. Maybe I'll have another dream tonight ;)

The white dot is a 2x2 pixel dot.
Position: x: 245-246; y: 281-282

I don't know if that could mean something

The Assassin delights in the confusion over something so simple.

Another victim clue to decipher.

I like PuckSnipers pic better than the Assassins. It's pretty :D

I don't see anything hidden in it? I don't know. I'll magnify it.

It has a png extension again  Does that mean we're looking at an Assassin with a Mac or did we determine last time that anyone can use that extension? A mac automatically saves a pic as a png though, correct?

He made the picture in paint, saved it as a png in windows so the picture isn't blurry when saving tit as a jpg Schony.

PNG has no meaning whatsoever in a picture.

What I would suggest is to take avatars and make them into red scale or green scale or something and see if any of the colors could match up.

Also look bat signatures. So far in this thread there is pone person who has a Purple to pink color in their signature. That is PSP. From the bottom, I'm sure if you take the lightest shade, and go down a few you could possibly and easily make a gradiatent of shades that way based on his signature also.
