Sabres A Few Goals Short of A Cup Contender
Why even post this garbage? It's so stupid to say that they are not a cup contender cause they have top tier players are underachieving, it's called scoring depth. The New Jersey Devils have five more goals scored than us, I dont hear anyone saying they are not a contender cause of lack of offense. The fact is we are playing good enough to be in second. Production from our top six may be down, but that only means we have room for improvement. This team is exactly where it should be, what team hit it's peak level of playing midway through the season and continues that pace for the rest of the year? Look at the penguins last year they sucked for about 2/3 of the season, then fired their coach and went on a tear. I swear any kind of positivity that Buffalo fans get to call their own get's twisted anyway possibly until we feel like a bunch idiot's for thinking otherwise. You know what I really wish everyone could be happy with we have, leave the negativity out and hope for the best, if you are a true Sabres fan. Besides it is always better to route for the underdog!
GO SABRES!!!!!
First off, I love the Spirit. GO SABRES!!!! Right back at you.
Now, onto the "facts" as you see them. Cause that what it is, as you see them. Many other fans do not see balanced scoring as you call it. They see a massive failure from atleast 3 players on this team (Vanek, Connolly, Pomminville) and 2 players under achieving in goals, points or both.
I love the way this team has played, interchanging the players and finding success is just straight out awsome and only proved to me atleast, that we have something special this season. Took half the season, but I am there with ya.
With those points being made, you stated - " leave the negativity out and hope for the best, if you are a true Sabres fan". My question is, why can people not post their opinion, positive, negative or nuetral? I actually still believe a trade should be made to bring in some stable scoring. 5 OR 6 games out of 41 with decent scoring doesn't indicate problem solved.
The team has found itself as of late, as you stated, I enjoy it, the games are fun to watch. So, my next question to you is, why can't it be this way above 50% of the time instead of 17% of the time?
What happens if the production from a mere 3 of these players drops off towards the end of the season causing us home ice advantage, or heaven forbid, in the playoffs? Are you attempting to tell fans such as myself not to look at potential upgrades to the team because it is "anti-fan" behavior?
Many questions as to why you would not even join the conversation, but, your post was half constructive.
