Everybody's starting to take down Christmas lights.

Winter will be cold now.

I know what you mean. I still have my tree up, for two reasons: I put it up 6 days before Christmas-late this year, and the second reason is the same as you-It's a nice, warm feeling with the soft lighting in a dark room and looking at the heirloom ornaments. I may not take it down until spring.

I am going to be soooo obnoxious when I have my own home.

Ornaments are like a family history all in themselves, considering how most are accrued. I don't see anything wrong with displaying that for longer than two weeks.

My family usually sets up the tree at thanksgiving (unless we happen to be in/pretty damn close to buffalo or florida) and we still have it up. We just take it down we we start to think that it's had a good run.

That will never get old.

Have a family friend, retired now, that worked in the FBI. He specifically worked to compile some things in Hilary Clinton's file. The stories he has... Hahahaha. I would never, ever vote for that woman.

A friend and I were discussing her, long before the 08 election. Sometime around 05-06, and he said the same thing you did. His justification however was probably a lot different. His reaction was pretty much, "I don't think a woman is capable of handling power." It was kind of disappointing really.

I do agree with what I think (deep down) was the spirit he was trying to convey in that I don't trust someone in power (man or woman) who adamantly seeks it.

There was a tiff involved in the Politics forum. Crosscheck tends to be...rather confident in his belief of the corectness of his position with those things and Pat took it the wrong way and chose to leave. Personally, while I understood Pat's distress I thought he overreacted a bit.

Apparently they've known each other since high school and never really got along.

Yeah, that's basically my issue with her; absolutely everything about her is a sham, meant to dupe voters. Everything she's done since marrying Bill Clinton, including staying married to him, has had one goal in mind: to give her more political power.

As far as the fact that she's a woman goes... :? I'm one myself, so I certainly think we're capable of handling power. It's just... Well, I know a lot of specifics I won't get into, but man, that woman is despicable. I've a friend who is an extreme feminist, who voted for Hilary purely because she is a woman... I was just like.... Mmmm, miiiiiight want to wait for a better candidate there. It will be fun times when she dies and her FBI file is released to public record. FBI files vindicate most people of whatever; for a select few others, it's more like, "WHAT?! Why did people not know about this?" And not in a good way. :? Basically, if you have a negative opinion of Hilary Clinton because of how ruthless she seems to be, more so than the average politician, you're spot on.

Sucks that people can be so single minded sometimes.
