Everyone has a song or two that expresses their current life situation, and, of course, with the passage of time we see that change as our lives change.

What song do you find says the most about where you are now in your life?

Is there a song you enjoy because it takes you back to a place and time in your life that gave you fond memories?

What song reminds you of moments that may have been very difficult?

Music can reveal a lot about our lives, so it should be fun and interesting to get to know one other via the songs of our lives.

For me, I'd say Time by Pink Floyd seems to really hit home. Being in my 40s now, I've noticed the days, weeks, months and years fly by with alarming speed. I find myself pondering how the sun is the same in a relative way but I'm older...

I have been thinking of making a thread similar to this one the past few days. I guessed wrong on who the author of this thread is, though, after seeing the title.

These are some songs that I have related to, so to speak, since I first heard them. I don't know any that really apply to me right now because I have difficulty with that in general, separating things... Um, yeah. Just a very holistic thinker when it comes to everything, including people.

"Fluke," Devin Townsend

"Breathe Me," Sia

"Man on the Moon," Kid Cudi

"Fairytale," Ludovico Einaudi

Edit:
I have been told by no less than three different people that this song always makes them think of me. It should be mentioned.

This song has nothing to do with anything, but it's where my username came from.

"Across the Lines," Tracy Chapman

Right now?

Subject to change at any given moment, though.

OK, I got it...I had to pick four out, or I'd go nuts with like a list of 30.

Coming Down The Mountainside - Tea Party (my quiet years as an adolescent and teenager)
Bring The Pain - Mindless Self Indulgence (my wild years between 19 and 22)
Blood and Thunder - Mastodon (the tumult that was my divorce and the introspective wanderings through an emotional desert)
Rumors of War - High on Fire (the unrelenting driving forward of my life nowadays as I feel myself getting my shit together)
