There was a good thread on the douche bag in the original forums. I mentioned how he printed two e-mails I had sent him as "inside information."
I was getting his e-mails because a friend of mine has legit press credentials, and added me to that list. He didn't even summarize what I had written; he simply cut and pasted.
Someone else wrote how they posed as an insider from The Rangers, and gave him a fictional story; which of course he blogged. They then promptly e-mailed him to tell him he'd been had, and he removed the "info."
Not many people here listen to Bill Waters on Leaf Lunch. If I printed his inside info and takes on things, I'd be right quite a lot of the time. If I didn't acknowledge my source, instead claiming to have extreme insider info, I'd look like I did to most. But I'd simply be a fraud, like Eklund.
He is like a parrot; he repeats what he reads elsewhere. Some of it will turn out to have some merit. He then takes credit for it being his information. He is simply a maggot who knows nothing about hockey, but played a joke on the public by blogging during the lock out season. When many were so naive as to believe him as a legit insider, he ran with it, even creating fictional additional bloggers to collaberate his stories. He fills in the gaps by completely fabricating stories. I didn't know he was a fraud for sure until he printed my works as his own.
If you don't believe me, look it up, it's been chronicled.
