A friend and I were discussing her, long before the 08 election. Sometime around 05-06, and he said the same thing you did. His justification however was probably a lot different. His reaction was pretty much, "I don't think a woman is capable of handling power." It was kind of disappointing really.
I do agree with what I think (deep down) was the spirit he was trying to convey in that I don't trust someone in power (man or woman) who adamantly seeks it.
Yeah, that's basically my issue with her; absolutely everything about her is a sham, meant to dupe voters.
Everything she's done since marrying Bill Clinton, including staying married to him, has had one goal in mind: to give her more political power.
As far as the fact that she's a woman goes...

I'm one myself, so I certainly think we're capable of handling power.

It's just... Well, I know a lot of specifics I won't get into, but man, that woman is despicable. I've a friend who is an extreme feminist, who voted for Hilary purely because she is a woman... I was just like.... Mmmm,
miiiiiight want to wait for a better candidate there. It will be fun times when she dies and her FBI file is released to public record. FBI files vindicate most people of whatever; for a select few others, it's more like, "WHAT?! Why did people not know about this?" And not in a good way.

Basically, if you have a negative opinion of Hilary Clinton because of how ruthless she seems to be, more so than the average politician, you're spot on.
