Miller's rebound might have been smaller cause of the type of bumps in his pads(i think they kill rebounds more)

Ya, the bumps in Miller's pads are why he has better rebound control than Lalime.
actually, caro, they do. lalimes pads are flat faced, which dont really break in. they stay hard as a rock, but allow for easier movement in the butterfly position. millers pads are old ccm vector 10s (with reebok X-PULSE graphics) and are not flat faced. the shin-roles act like an accordion when he is in a butterfly, and the pad actually collapses a little, softening the blow of the puck, and the subsequent rebound is pillowed slightly.
petr skudra had the best pads, they were flat faced, so they were lighter and thinner, but eagle also put a thin, pillow-like surface on that flat face. why no one else has done this, i have no idea.
peter skudras pads:

lalimes flat faced pads (last years graphics)

millers ccm vector 10s (x-pulse graphics)
