Of all the goalies to try and rip, you pick the only one who has better numbers than Miller. You can argue Rask has played less games, but that DOES NOT mean Rask would do worse in the same amount of games. Pure conjecture on your part.

Our goal scorers are better than anyone on Boston IMO,

I'm glad you stuck "IMO" on the end, otherwise that is an absurd statement.

BlueandYellow wrote:
Myers is better than Chara. The reason Chara has so many goals is because he throws it at the net and he gets lucky and the puck dodges around 5 people and in a little slot Miller can't see.

Myers is better than Chara now? Really? Yes, Myers is extremely good FOR A ROOKIE, but he still makes plenty of mistakes out there. He has a very promising career ahead of him and doesn't need such exagerrated praise to be well-thought-of. Careful with the homer hyperbole.

Plus, I love how Lydman is playing, he is better than a few Boston D and so is Rivet and Tallinder...

Careful. The Bruins are 2nd only to the Devils in fewest goals allowed. Their D is pretty solid. Among others, you can thank Chara for that---of course, according to you, he may perhaps be able to pick up a few pointers from Myers :D

Okay, so Miller isn't better than Rask? Obviously he is... Look at his play. No one can doubt he is better than Rask right now. Rask is good, but Miller is better.
Guess what? Pominville and Roy did WAY better than most of the guys on Boston. Hecht would be their second best goalscorer in the season! Best point leader was 53 points!
Myers is a better skater than Chara. No doubt. They are actually pretty even.
And the reason the Bruins are only second to the Devils in FGA is because those teams both play the trap. That's why the B's have so few goals. Sturm has 22, most goals a Bruin had.

myers may be better a skater, but he isnt better then chara. chara is a super star. if myers was a 5 year vet, we wouldnt put up with his current play as much. he turns the puck over way too much, and he isnt very physical. he will get better all the way around, no question. but the only time chara and myers should be mentioned in the same breath is if its a height related discussion. itll come, but it isnt there yet.

I'm still concerned on how he questioned the statement "Miller is better than Rask".

i question it too, honestly. rask is very very very good. you dont put up those numbers if you are a scrub. remember, in reality, miller was very pedestrian up till last year, but so was the defense in front of him. is rask better then miller, right now? no, but the gap isnt nearly as large as youd think. 2 of the top 3 goalies in the east are in this series.

So you need it all explained to you, is that what you're getting at?

Have a problem with what I pointed out? Feel free to address THAT instead of leveling a gratuitous insult.

Um dude you need to chill out hahaha

Um, dude, did you read the comment I was responding to? Are YOU in the habit of laying down after someone gratuitously insults you?

I'm not.

Amazing you would find fault with what I said, but not with the comment and poster who precipitated it.

No I just happen to agree with anyone who isnt you because I Believe CV is more logically sound than you... get over yourself....

you are just finding ways to debunk this team... have faith in your team, we can win this... your just being irrational

Now now all. As squanto said. There's no need to directly insult each other. There's a different between saying "You're irrational" vs "I believe you're being irrational because ...." One is the right way to go about this, the other is not.

Any time I criticize this team or don't let somebody get away with a ridiculously inaccurate statement, I am insulted left and right and it's BS.

First, I do beleive that Miller edges out Rask right now in his play, but not by much---and he certainly wasn't as good at Rask's age (not that that means anything in this discussion). What I find annoying is the downplaying of the guy. It's inaccurate and irrational. Never underestimate your opponent, especially when the numbers themselves say otherwise.

Second, comparing a rookie (Myers) who is outstanding (for a rookie) with an established all-star (Chara) is absurd.

I know you're excited and want the Sabres to win and will shit-talk everybody who comes up against them, but it makes the conversations a lot less interesting when wholly inaccurate statements are made and left unchallenged.

I never took Boston for granted, while many here would have you believe there is nothing to worry about. Nonsense. They won the season series, no matter how many different ways you try and disclaim that, AND they just took home ice advantage back to Boston.

Reality check time.

You're in Fairfax, VA?

You should open a streetcorner concession stand selling Caps bumper stickers with the slogan: "NO LEAD IS SAFE"

They are fun to watch.

Until the Sabres lose one of their two games in Boston coming up, they still have home ice advantage. This thread is a day off, and should be nuked from orbit.

...although I do like two imbeciles going back and forth, entertaining the bystanders in the process. :D

sorry phil, but

with the remaining games, if the home team wins all of them, then boston wins 3 more, and the most the sabres would win is one more, making boston 3/3 on home ice, and 1/3 away

And you're a Jeff Champagne-level tool, Blueandyellow.

But to make sure that this post is something of substance, the logic is this - right now there are five games left in the series, and the series is tied at one game apiece. The Sabres, as I previously stated, do not lose home ice advantage unless they lose game three in Boston and fall behind. I won't explain it because it's too nebulous for some of the users here to fathom.
