Well I guess we just all figured out what Buffalo's system is all about. Draft more D-man, Have Small Forwards with skill, a handful of grinders and a good goalie and hope you win all your games 1-0 or 2-1. That's just a wonderful system.
Yes, the entire path of the organization for the next five years has been decided by the first several 2010 draft picks. It's set in stone now, nothing else will be done...no trades, no FA signings, and probably not any more draft picks until 2016.
Get a grip.
Wow I guess you have alot of Faith in just 3 guys that are Buffalo's top offensive prospects. Ennis and Adam i both like and Kassian adds the physical play this team desperately needs but other than that their isn't much in the pipeline unless you call Tropp or Legace the others but that's a far reach.
The first three draft choices don't dictate "the system" or whatever that's supposed to mean. They also aren't the end-all be-all of what the Sabres are next season or what they will be in five years. You, like many others, are being ridiculous and acting like the roof is caving in over a draft choice, trade, non-trade, etc.
Wait until the summer ends before making sweeping conclusions about the state of the team.
FWIW, I'll say that as long as Buffalo finds a strong RW that can score and a good two-way D-man that can be a PP QB this summer will be a big success. Two whole players can make a big difference IMO. I know that doesn't jive with most lemmings ready to jump over the cliff - the ones screaming to trade for Ovechkin, sign Kovalchuk or fire Darcy all the way down.
So I don't get my panties in a bunch over every little thing, it's just the crazy armchair GMs without a clue...bitching the whole time with no semblance of an off-season plan for themselves aside from PS2 style trade offers...that get on my nerves.
