Yeah, I always say that second place is worse than last.

I would still be happy, though, because it's the Olympics, not the SC finals. You represent your country and have a good time and come in second of all the nations there, and you still win something. With the SC finals, oh boy, I'd rather have a swift first-round exit.

The Olympics are all about just having fun rooting for your country. It's not all serious like the SC finals or anything. In another week it will all be forgotten, and we'll just be Sabres fans rooting for the same team again.

It's the only time I'm remotely patriotic when it comes to anything outside the military.

I've been doing this all Olympic long. Why the fuck did he have to score?! This is a total buzzkill for me.

To our US friends, one hell of a game. Parise is a friggan hero and rightfully so. For OUR Ryan Miller, good lord what a game and Olympics he has played. This US team depended on him in terms of how far they would go and he took them to the finals. I hoped this wouldn't happen to be honest. If the US made it this far, I wanted them to win it all for the sake of Miller and the Sabres.

I hope this doesn't spell doom and gloom for Ryan when he returns to Buffalo. He played amazing, should be the MVP and no one can say anything to take that away from him. I hope he uses this experience and can rebound from this going home to Buffalo.

Great game to both USA and Canada. Also, I loved all the shit talking on here today. I was a viewer instead of a participant. But it was all good hearted none the less.
