There is a lot of banter between the mods, especially now after recent happenings.

Unfortunately we can't go back and erase the past, and in highly emotional situations things can happen that are regretted later. Each of us is entitled to our own opinion, and rightfully so.

Now that the event has passed and cooler heads are among us, the mods will be in constant contact over recent happenings, and I hope resolution can come soon.

For now, please be patient as we continue our discussions.

Poor form on the part of several of you to jump all over one of our regular (and importantly selfless moderator) members yesterday.

You can look at the situation from several viewpoints. I will not argue some of these.

I will argue this at a couple different levels. Number one; if you have a difference of opinion with one the people who volunteer their time in here, you owe them the respect to air your grievances privately - at least initially.

Number two; there is a social feel to these boards. Just like in life, we support our friends, and this can be, and often is, at an emotional level - whether we fully agree with them or not. We usually take people aside if we disagree, and express this.

We don't call them out in front of everyone and throw them under the bus.

I am timing myself out for the next 24 hours because I am very disappointed with several of you; you show an apparent lack of understanding as to what friendship and loyalty truly mean in life; and yes, these boards are an extension of our lives to some extent.


I will leave it at that, because I could go on, but I won't. I could call out about six people by name here, but I won't.

I could just "forget" it happened; but I can't.

There is a time and place for posts. I am/was under the impression, that GDT was put up in order to cheer on our USA team and Our Sabres goalie, Miller. Whom, I might add, played a beautiful game. This is a Sabres site/forum. This is not a Canadian site/forum. I'm sure there was plenty of celebrating on numerous Canadian sites where one could have posted with no problems and had more fun. Instead, the poster chose to celebrate and taunt here. If that wasn't the case, then why continue to come back under several aliases and continue with the same banter?

wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. this IS a Sabres Forum, on which, half of the players hail from Canada. So to choose sides in a USA/Canada match brings no "injustice" to anything. you can choose what team you want to win. the same goes in a GDT if it was for pittsburgh and washington.

if this is a close community, as many, as well as myself have brought up, it shouldnt be torn apart, or ban hammers tossed about because of the results of a hockey game. yes, hockey is why we are all here, but you know what i mean.
