NHL TRADE DEADLINE: Penguins Acquire Leopold, Grebeshkov to Nashville

The Pittsburgh Penguins got a jump start on Wednesday's NHL trade deadline, acquiring defenseman Jordan Leopold from the Florida Panthers for a second-round pick in this year's draft.

The 29-year old Leopold has seven goals and 11 assists for the Panthers this season. This past summer, Leopold was part of the deal that sent defenseman Jay Bouwmeester to Calgary.

Nashville bolstered its blueline as well, picking up Denis Grebeshkov from Edmonton for a second-round pick in this year's draft. Grebeshkov has six goals and 13 assists this season and will be an unrestricted free agent after the year is over.
