What do you guys think?

I personally think there should be no games on deadline days. Some teams have today off, others have tomorrow off. It's unfair to make teams play a game without their "most current" roster on deadline day. Clearly those teams are forced to play without their new players they've just traded for, and teams that day that have traded a player play with either minor league guys on the roster, or with a short bench.

Anybody else feel as strongly against this as I do? And if not, why not?

I see your reasoning, I just don't like a day with no hockey so I voted yes. :P

Plus, I like the coverage and the buzz about it during those games.

Sure why not, I mean ya you trade for players and you might not get the player you want in time, but still... I dont see a problem with it. Unless of course you trade away like 5 players and you have a game that night and you dont get any players back, then that would be a problem.

I agree with the OP. Trade day should be a day off for the league so the players have travel time.
