79 is alot of games unto itself. Fuhr earned his salary that season.

apparently he played 79 then next season 73 i am not sure if that includes playoff games.

Tommy Salo probably was close, but I think the Edmonton teams he was on when he played 70+ games weren't playoff teams.

of course letting in goals like this didn't help much either.

key in on years 87/88, 95/96, and 96/97. i don't think he's over a hundred on any of those years but he's darn close 87/88, something like 6 games off.
