Just talked with Regier, so there will be no updates for a while. The Sabres' GM told me he is not close to any trades at the moment. He said most players being offered are rentals, a route he previously said he is hesitant to go. Regier also said he would not weaken his team by ridding himself of rentals -- such as Henrik Tallinder and Toni Lydman -- just for the sake of moving players. Check back later for more.
