Quote:
Patrick Lalime watched Ryan Miller perform at the Olympics and came to two easy conclusions, ones shared by nearly every other observer: The Sabres' Team USA goaltender was outstanding, and he needs time to decompress.

Lalime is ready to provide it. He will start in goal for the Sabres on Tuesday when they resume the NHL schedule in Pittsburgh.

"I’m playing tomorrow and looking forward to it," Lalime said after practice today in HSBC Arena. "I think he deserves the rest."

Good... Ryan deserves the rest and that means he's most likely starting against Washington, where I'll be in attendence to give him a standing ovation.

I was thinking about buying a ticket to the Washington game just to experience the ovation Ryan gets.

I'd love to go to that game just to stand up and cheer my ass off for him.

I have Wednesday off... maybe I'll buy a ticket, drive out, and just drive the 5 hours back home after the game...

I didn't even realize I was going to that game until yesterday. Everyone was talking about how they can't wait to see the ovation he gets and I was like, "Damn I wish I could be there..." and then I looked through my tickets to see if I was going to that game and I was like, "YES!!!!" haha.

LMAO, how do you not keep track of that? As soon as I get my tickets, I write them all over every calendar I own.

Has been for two straight, incredible, dominating months.

Hasn't Lalime generally played well against the Penguins?

Sure has, I'm sure that helped with Lindy's decision

You and tons of other fans don't have faith in Lalime. But if he plays like he did when he had that conditioning stint he will be fine.

well he played well. too bad the sekera didn't help him on that dupuis goal. that third goal he probably wanted back. but the first two, you can't stop what you can't see, and this guy isn't the mongoose miller is.
