Staffords injury is looking pretty bad, Goose is skating again.

This is good news. I want to see him up one last time. If he doesn't do well, then it should be his absolute last time.

Sucks that Staff is injured. Sort of.

I agree I want to see him again. The guy deserves another chance and I'm glad that he's getting it. I just hope he learns from the last time he was here and does the little things that need to be done to play at the NHL level. The guy has a cannon of a shot and has good hands just needs to hustle more and use that big body of his.

I would think he would hustle and play hard tomorrow, right? He's got to know this is it.

That's what I think as well. He has to know that this might be his last shot and he would be stupid if he didn't give it all he's got and here's my reasoning. The guy I think is unrestricted and Darcy tried to trade him and nobody wanted him. I would play my ass off if I were him at least make an impression so if the Sabres don't want you another team make take a chance on him.

Great news. I too would like to see Mancari again. Any word on what the line make up may be?

Mancari is still restricted this summer, so he really has no choice but to play hard and try to stay in Buffalo. I'm actually happy with this. Stafford hasn't done anything for a while, and Mancari could actually be a better option anyway.

We need players that will have some motivation. Today's Buffalo News article had a line that pissed me off - the Lindy quote about having to make the team see things his way. It's incredible to think that after 62 games the team still has players that are stubborn enough to be doing things their own way. Butler being benched and cited for complacency in his game...it's so damn maddening.

Mancari is a bust and has proven this on three separate occasions.

I would say more of an AHL career player than a total bust. The guy is a bust at the NHL level but at an AHL level the guy is playing stellar.

Yea, I meant at the NHL level. At the AHL level, the guys is a pure monster with the hardest shot the league has ever seen, among other attributes.

This is his last shot at the NHL, and he knows it.

At the very least, maybe we'll get one good game out of him.

eh, he isnt a bust just yet. lots of players have been called up a few times and struggled. the problem is his heart at times, and if he plays with some determination, he still has a chance.

I really, really want him to do well, and do well consistently. I want him to do so well that he runs Stafford off the team. I want Mancari to become a household name to Sabres fans for his devastating hits and crease-crashing goals every game. I want to see him rip 95 mph slap shots on a nightly basis toward the net.

He just needs to want to be that guy. And he seems to not want it.

It's sad, right?

All that skill and no drive every time he's been up here.

I wonder; could he just be really effing nervous?

Might be nerves, or it just might be something like how Mike Harrington refers to minor league baseball players who just can't perform at the MLB level - AAAA. Mancari just might be one of those, which sucks.

If Mancari ever found his groove in the NHL, the Sabres right side could be Kassian, Pominville, Mancari, and Kaleta next season. Good goddamn.

I can't wait for Kassian. This team is going to get instantly tougher with him in the line up.
