Those are dated pictures. The gear requirements could have changed since then. Also, Giguere is hunched over(causes the chest protector to bunch up at the top) and miller is more or less in a butterfly so his protector isn't in the same position as Giguere's.

Fair enough, but I do remember reading an article about the upcoming goalie gear regulations and it did specifically mention Miller's and Brodeur's pads and chest protector being the smallest in the league, and Giguere's and Vokoun's being among the biggest.

Lets also remember that Giguere is like a lumberjack while Miller is a twig. I just don't think that he has one of the smaller chest protectors in the league.

All pads are 11 inches in length. I think they're putting a restriction on the height of your pads next year. So pretty much every goalie will be affected except Brodeur cause his pads are pinner.
