I still think that with hits as blatant as this, the suspension should be fixed.... Cooke should be suspended for as long as Savard is out + 5 games...

There is no place for these actions in the game of hockey and until the punishment starts to fit the crime or the players on the ice are allowed to police themselves as they have in the past, this will continue...

If you injure a player on a boarding call, or "head hunting" or anything as bad as this the suspension should be mandatory... you out for as long as the guy you injured + 5 games...

maybe that will get the players attentions...

Yeah, I like that too. That could really show the players the damage they've caused and then some because you lose all those games plus 5 more and that's a lot of money this piece of shit is losing, and I'm sure that would drive him insane.

Just read an article on this. Savard doesn't remember being hit and is walking and talking slowly. Makes me sick. I'd say 20+ for Cooke now, that is just deplorable.

Im telling ya, if you want to send a message... Cooke sits for as long as Savard is out + 5 games... Im guessing Savard will be out for at least the rest of the season...

oh, i have a better idea. dont suspend him at all.. till game one of the penguins first playoff series. and all the way through the pens playoff run. hurts him. hurts his team, and sends one hell of a message.

Or just ban him for the rest of the season including the playoffs. Previous offender and a very serious injury that could well end Savard's season (per TSN) and end the Bruin's playoff hopes. I am not a Bruins fan by any means, but imagine if a season ending injury happens to Miller, Myers, Connolly, or any of our other top guys. It would hurt, especially with the situation Boston is in. I thought my anger would subside over this, but I just get angrier as the details come out. Cooke should really just be banned for the rest of the season, including playoffs.

Savard oughta be done for the season. And soon, he'll be done for the rest of his life - one or two more bad concussions, and Savard is the next Lindros or LaFontaine.

I would do that also, you injure someone with a headshot, you're out for as long as they are out plus a few games. Really send the message, and if you don't injure the guy, you're out for a minumum of 10 games regardless of injury.

If it ends a career a one year suspension then he can play again.
