Just signed it and passed it along to my wife at BofA. 1300 employees there and she is already circulating it.
Great thinking to whomever started this. Ryan deserves it, he's earned it.

Miller gets voted tournament MVP in a losing effort of the most stacked (talent wise) hockey tournament ever, and this guy needs to see more?

His opinion clearly means nothing.

Quote:
No stranger to sports broadcasting, Duff has been involved in the industry for nearly 15 years, with a strong focus on hockey. Prior to joining NHL Network, Duff spent six years as the pre- and post-game host for Toronto Maple Leafs hockey on Leafs TV. His extensive hockey broadcasting career also includes stints as the radio host for pre- and post-game coverage of the Ottawa Senators and Edmonton Oilers and radio game analyst for the WHL's Medicine Hat Tigers. In addition, Duff worked at The Score as an anchor and reporter and provided play-by-play for Ottawa Rebel lacrosse and the Mann Cup. Duff has also freelanced for key U.S.-based media outlets including ESPN and Associated Press.

Duff, who grew up in Whitby, Ont., holds a Broadcasting Diploma from Mount Royal College in Calgary.

So he's basically Paul Hamilton in a larger market. GTFO.

his answer was fleury. i disagree STRONGLY, though i feel he is the most talented and athletic goaltender in the bunch. just doesnt put it all together on a consistent basis.

however, i do agree that rask is the next huge thing, and steve mason will still be an amazing goalie. and i love the shout out to jim howard, who i feel could surpass miller as the USAs best goalie.

I refuse to believe this.

I think if anyone will, it'll be Quick.

But neither of them will.

You very well may be right, Mike.

But until then, I will deny it to death, because Miller is our guy. :D

oh, i love miller. but i also grew very fond of howard while watching him in grand rapids. and when i watch him play, he reminds me alot of miller, just alot younger. howards numbers this year are better then millers numbers in any year PRIOR to this season. who knows, but it just seems to scream at me that howard is the real deal.

Lundqvist deserves to be in that conversation as much as Dan Cloutier and Ray Emery.

Hey all,

I have a close friend who has an online petition to give Ryan Miller the key to the city of buffalo. She has been on WBEN as well as Channel 7 and 2 news about her petition.

I think it's a great idea and I don't know why you all wouldn't feel the same way.

My friend is one of the coolest people I know and I hope you all can help her cause.

Thanks!!!!

I'd love to shove this in an announcement, but since I created the message, if everyone feels it's worthy enough someone else can take care of that aspect. :D

That article is a joke, right? Switzerland was a very tough team, they managed to take Canada to a shootout. Plus, Miller said in an interview that their system was specifically designed for the NHL sized rink and specifically designed to shut down an NHL style offense. Finland was caught sleeping, the USA beat Canada once (almost twice) all because of Miller's stellar play. Neither Thomas nor Quick would have done that well. And now Miller comes back to the Sabres and continues to post great numbers game in and game out on a consistent basis That is something Fleury cannot do. No consistency. Miller has been great consistently for the past 2-3 years, and the Sabres are a few pieces away from contending for a Cup. Miller will win a Cup in Buffalo. I know this because he has made Buffalo his new hometown and I can tell he is dedicated to winning a Cup for the team and for the city.

i do, to an extent, agree with that article. I love Miller and think that he is the best. but to everyone who hasnt watched the sabres (and some of those that have), they are quickly putting him on a pedestal after seeing him in only a hand full of games.

for most of us here, we have all along known how good Miller is and how great he can be when the team in front of him doesnt fuck up ever 5 minutes, and yea, the Olympics were his coming out party but even we have become drunk on Miller (ha). When was the last time that there was a comment about a soft goal being let in? or anything negative said about Miller at all? Last year there were debates about Miller not being an "elite" goalie and being similar to Lundqvist. Now, Millers a God.

Miller is, without a doubt, a phenomenal goalie, and easily one of the best in the league and world. im just not ready to give him the title just yet.
