.....meaning Tallinder-Hecht-Connolly of course. What did you guys think I was talking about? ;)

But seriously, my girl made a comment last night about what a difference there is between Buffalo's results this year and last. She said "what's different?" I thought about it and said of course Miller and Myers have been wonderful. But that didn't seem like enough of an explanation. Pomminville, Vanek, Roy, and others have been less impressive than before, but others have really stepped up their game.

I've never been a big Tallinder or Hecht-hater like some folks round these parts. But I certainly was against resigning Connolly last year. I was wrong. I say it's time for me to take my lumps and admit Connolly has been good, and time for some of you to take your lumps and admit Tallinder and Hecht have also been good.

Go THC!

Vanek seems to have caught fire with Mancari lately, hopefully they can both keep it up. And it's nice to see tallinder and hecht rebound, although unless tallinder lowers his demands to like 1.5 or lower i don't think he's staying.

Pat Kaleta has been another factor in Buffalo's winning ways, but THCK just wasn't as funny.

Kaleta, Vanek, Myers, Miller, Hecht, Tallinder (Awesome all season, big improvement), little of Lydman, Mancari, and that is about it. All of those guys are stepping up, see Stafford, and Roy aren't on that list. Connolly is raking points up, but is being too fancy as of late. We have seen him and his awesome shot, Lindy needs to tell him to shoot it more.

I think Darcy needs to re-sign one of his two unrestricted defenseman. I know Weber might be ready but he's unproven and with Butler taking a step back I would seriously look to re-sign one of them. Give Gragani another year in Portland.

You mean that ONE game where he got 1 goal and zero assists for a whopping 1 point? Mancari and Roy had 2 and Myers had 4? I don't call that catching fire....no offense to your name... :)

Umm you're blind if you think Roy hasn't been one of our best players for the last 20 games or so.

When Connolly cooled down a bit before the Olympic break Roy was on fire and still is. He may not get points every night but at least he is always hustling and trying still. Vanek seems to be getting his groove back. It's expected when he is being forced to play a more responsible defensive game.

I just think our lack of scoring this year only has to do with their more focused attempt at defensive play. Next year their offensive games will rebound.

But nothing wrong with some THC either.
