Fucking students in the hallway that walk in a line and block your path in front of you.

I am usually a very calm and nice person but not right now. I was at a double header for some local baseball games today and they let you stay and watch fireworks. Let just say there were some people at the game who had no clue about baseball, some people brought their dumb as dogs to the park and fans were more occupied thinking about the fireworks at the end of the 2nd game. The 2nd game the home team who I was cheering for were getting blasted 13-3 and more people kept showing up just to see the fireworks and that fine but where I was sitting people just had to come sit by me, so they come and sit by me but I was basically pushed out of my seats and I was there from the start of the game I wanted to punch the dad of these kids

The fact that my aunts need not finish their plates of food, but when my eleven-year-old brother doesn't want the last third of the food on his plate, which he did not serve himself but was served by my mother so couldn't control the amount on it, he is made to sit there by the same people who don't finish their own food until he eats it all.

Ummmm.

People are typically ridiculously inconsistent when it comes to kids and treat them as insignificant, but it still makes me angry every time. When people say they wish they could be little again, I'm usually quite incredulous. I remember very well what that was like. For some reason most people don't feel the need to be logical or consistent with kids, even though being neither of those things will cause you to be resented by any kid, not at all respected. To be fair, my mother's family is never logical or consistent anyway, and it drove me crazy when I was a kid and always will drive me crazy lol.

When it's a Friday night at a restaurant, and when you tell someone it's a 45 minute wait they get pissed off and ask why it's so long when they see an open table. You know, because maybe...just maybe, the ~30 people who got there before you are waiting for an open table too. Are people so arrogant that they assume they can walk in on a busy night and immediately be seated as soon as a table opens up? If you've gone out to eat more than 3 times in your life you should have figured it out by now how it works.

I am trying to control my negative thoughts, especially anger. The teachings of the Buddha have shown me that desire leads to suffering, and to be enlightened is to control desire.

It's a work in progress. :)
