As this place grows and gets more visits, it'll trend higher on Google's search results. Once it hits first page for people who search "Buffalo Sabres message boards", I suspect the population will jump up pretty good.

Pretty much. There's pretty much only two rules in this place - no softcore (or worse) images in sigs or avatars, and don't be a douche. The politics forum is a free-for-all, and the lounge is spam heaven. It's a paradise here.

Are we TRULY devoted to being a fun message board, or a 'good' message board. Maybe if THIS were the topic, then we could even get some of our beloved posters(is that a bad word yet) back, right? I really don't know what took place afterward, but I was around for the overblown blow-out. Seemed like a marriage-type fight to me(you said you liked Chianti yet you ordered Lambrusco). Squanto has more than manned up(he seems to have an unresolved issue, hopefully it's small). I think the other people involved need to either state their case to want to stay here, or at least explain why they don't want to be. It's unfair to look forward to posts that aren't coming w/o an explanation. Seriously. Ice knew this, and certainly reinforced my belief that he is a top caliber guy by doing so.

Maybe we ALL owe xcheck an apology for making "our" request for a fun site so hard to achieve. This WAS going to be hard, and bailing isn't an option he's explored, nor do I hope (for all of us) that he does.

Well, I could certainly bring in a few new people(like irony said). Irony will vouch for anyone I invited. I wouldn't invite anyone I didn't know was a cool person for sure. I kinda wanted to wait until we got our own house in order first. It's up to xcheck anyways if he wants us to do invites.

Cross has never said he didn't want people inviting others here.

He set this place up for us as well as himself for a much better place than the WSOD.

Good observation. I do have some lingering issues with some of the personal shots that have been fired my direction since this all went down, but I've been doing a better job ignoring that as time goes on.

There are no rules about who can join or not.
I'm almost uncomfortable with the word "invite"...anyone can join no matter how they find the place.

One positive take away is we now have a uniform CoC which should rule out any ambiguity if idiots decide to join and cause trouble.
