I don't understand the picture references, either. But this username has been around since the old forums.sabres.com (if I remember correctly), so the guy has plenty of experience with us. I'm not saying that's an excuse to be a dick, but go back and read those counterpoint posts again. We aren't being sarcastic assholes, we're providing our own beliefs on the situation in a respectful manner.

Dude, i'm not saying shit about drinking cool aid, or kissing someones ass. But the tone has been rather mocking of him. And what a steak and toby from the office have to do with this I havent a clue.
Dude has 31 posts here, is he really expected to decipher everyones level of playful sarcasm?

Posting Toby was my way of playfully calling him a party pooper. :D

Would you have rather I lashed out like I used to and call him an idiot? ;)

1crozier1 was around on the WSOD, so I would think he would see that any sarcasm isn't meant in a mean way.

But, if not, I think by now it's obvious. :)

Meh we won. We were up by four goals, and we won by two.

I didn't mind them taking a break a bit in the third, it's not like they were up by 2 goals going into the third and did what they did.

You don't need anymore goals by then, all you need to do is just play smart, no need to overexert yourself against desperation teams by then. Had they scored a goal before the second was over and made it 5-2 then, you would need to keep an alert for 5 or 10 minutes in the third and play hard. since it was still 5-1 after the second was over I let them slide.

Ok, I know you guys are referring to the old boards with WSOD, but what on earth is that acronym? I've refrained from asking previously, but now i really want to know.

And ok, If crozier is cool with the replies, then I guess it's only MY vagina that got bent out of shape over this. (and not very much, it just seemed ironic that in one thread we wonder why our population is down, and in another we pile on some dude with only 31 posts who isnt trolling)

WSOD=White Screen of Death

Old boards can be referred to both WSOD and forums.sabres.com basically. But most people reference old boards with forums.sabres.com and WSOD to the new layout.

WSOD : White screen of Death. Refers to the old official boards post-migration, where you would get a blank white page randomly for no reason. Also refers to the fact that the current setup over there is blinding white and washed out.

Well IPB had it's flaws with the random ISE(or whatever the error was) crap too.

Seemed like it happened alot in GDT's about a few months before migration.

The big problem with IPB was that we were on a shared server with other Invision boards. We hit the box hard as it was, once you factored in other websites, the DB couldn't keep up, hence the IPB DB errors.

Ok. Makes more sense now, I always loved those errors.

For all it's problems, it was such an attractive layout with pleasing colors and a very helpful pop-up alerting a user to a new PM.

If X could replicate that internal pop-up window with the PM alert here on the Junkie, this forum would have the bestest layout EVAR

You have a point though. We need to be careful about being too sarcastic too much. New people(or guests) will not always know the difference.
