I'm confident that a police academy and a few months on duty will open his eyes and change his sentiment.

I thought you meant shooting someone just to shoot them... I mean your not supposed to draw your gun unless your in danger and I understand that... I know what I want... This is what I want... Pulling your gun is a last option thing... you have to understand this... I am a hunter btw... so its not like I havent shot anything or at anything before, I know what needs to be done and I am willing to do it... but I thought you implied that I should go there just so I can pull my gun... thats not what a good officer does...

This is why I'd be ok with calling in the national guard and have them wage war on gangs in the inner city. And I know for a fact I'm going to catch heat for this, but they are making urban areas into warzones. 11 shootings a day, 50 murders a month, etc...it's bullshit. These gangs wage war on one another, and more often than not it's the innocent people getting hurt. Especially police, and innocent bystanders.

What this is mostly over is drugs too, it's not like any of it is part of the American Dream so to speak. It's people who cheat the system, break the law, and kill innocent people.

I'd be totally ok instituting martial law in those areas, and shoot on site for people displaying gang colors and symbols.

It makes me fucking sick knowing that someone is going to go to work today, kiss their wife and kids goodbye, and then get shot in the middle of gangland, and never come home again. All over some fucking asshole running drugs instead of working a real job.

I'd just like to highlight, the story we're talking about here isn't in inner-city gangland....Los Angeles surely has a lot of that, but this is happening outside the city.

This area (Riverside County) is what's referred to as the inland empire...it's a whole lot of desert and farmers and strip malls.
It's BFE.
