After a very frustrating night last night, there should hopefully be some better feeling tonight as the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Buffalo Sabres at HSBC Arena.

The Sabres can still clinch a playoff spot tonight with a win or an ATL loss. Pit plays today and if they lose we can run ahead of them to second in the eastern conference. I don't think PIT is going to lose though knowing damn well the Sabres are breathing down their neck. This of course all lies in the fact that the Sabres need to win tonight.

There was a lot of penalty trouble last night and that is something Buffalo needs to do better in today if they plan on winning. There are IMO too many times in which the Sabres try to play to the level of the other team. In most cases this causes them to lose, and quite efficiently at that. There are a ton of great things about Lindy's system that a lot of the team just refuses to play. That one fact scares me a lot, since I believe when they've played Lindy's system they have won a lot more games.

I haven't paid attention to any of the post game banter, and I hope that Lindy let him team know how the penalty trouble had probably cost them this game.

JUST ONE THING:
I believe if the Sabres wanted to take one thing from how the Senators played and bring it into their own game, I would like to see the stick checking. The most annoying part of the Senators game is the almost abusive stick checking that happens. I would imagine in a good NHL that most of the time the amount of stick bashing would cause lots of penalties, but it seems as if the Senators team are immune from slashing and hooking penalties as they can hide it in the massive amount of stick checking they do. Plus it's fucking annoying as holy hell.

CAN I HAVE YOUR NUMBER PLEASE?:
We have the Lightnings number apparently, as we have won all three previous meetings between the two teams. Please keep it this way!
DATE VIS/HOME FINAL
Mar 18, 2010 BUF@TBL BUF, 6 - 2
Jan 6, 2010 TBL@BUF BUF, 5 - 3
Oct 24, 2009 BUF@TBL BUF, 3 - 2

JUST FUCKING WIN!!!!

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

I don't know. With the ability to clinch the division again tonight, I think they'll start Miller

If they do start Lalime I think they would play well in front of him tonight... They are still pissed about him being booed, and just lost to Ottawa, again. They will kill.

Since I'm bad at figuring this stuff out... is this true? A win by us tonight, or a loss in Atlanta's game means life in the postseason this year for the Sabres? Guaranteed?

Funky.
