it would be nice if player signed their names legibly. but i fear thats a talent that is now lost to the modern athlete.

I'm sure there's a lot of players who do, or did, but when you have a massive volume of people begging for a signature, you need to go quickly or get swamped by more people.

im so sure, a lot of the current player signatures that ive seen in all sports tend to look like they were done by a monkey with epilepsy. while the older players are all perfectly readable. when i got jean belivuaes autograph there was a huge line of people to get stuff signed. yet, as far as i could tell, they were all perfectly written.

go on ebay and look at signed picture of people. the old ones (mantle, rocket richard) are very easy to read. if you go look at current players, the only way to tell who signed it is by their number which they wrote next to it, or the players initials which are normally legible.

Guilty of that...I had to change my signature at work so they could tell who it is. And at Roswell Park I have to print my name instead of signing it because they have no idea what it says. :lol:

my guilt depends on what im writing with and writing on. its weird, some pens and paper make me write worse then others and the electronic signature things are the worst.

My signature is not very readable also, but it's more because I hate writing in script.

Also Jimi Hendrix sig is easily readable, and same with SRV's.

But those weren't sports guys. Musician's instead. But it goes with the olderness also.
