Stafford, 1st line? MacArthur, 2nd line? Can't agree with those selections...

And there's no way I'd sit Myers, to play Shakira...No way.

Yup, Sekera isn't on par with Myers, or at least what Myers will become with some more NHL experience. What do think the top forward lines should be though?

Sylvester is a moron.

If you're going to keep Myers here, play him. Get his 10 games in, see what you have. It does nothing to sit the kid upstairs.

It also makes no sense to have Kennedy just sitting upstairs either when he could be playing too.

and why all the hatin' on sekera ? is it his defensive liability ???

b/c...you can mark my words....he is going to lead the point on our pp this year and score at least 50 points, if not 60+....

Connolly/Roy - 2 goals in the last 47 playoff games

Montador has a MUCH better point shot, and is FAR calmer on the point, than Sekera.

I think Sylvester is just repeating the company line with his choices. So lame. Grow a pair.

fuck tallinder and fuck hecht. leave the both of them in montreal when we go there. give them to the habs. free gifts. Myers has played well for a rookie. i mean he is not with out mistakes he is a rookie, but the two fuck heads above mentioned are supposed veterans and still suck, and need to be ditched.

Myers and Kennedy were listed as reserves with the entire season in mind, not for the start of it. The rest of the article says that the first nine games will be used to evaluate Myers before Mair returns, and he obviously needs to play for that to happen. Once Mair returns there are three options...

1) Myers returns to Kelowna.
2) Myers stays and Butler returns to Portland.
3) Myers and Butler stay, Kennedy returns to Portland, Paetsch stays as an 8th d-man or extra forward.

Tallinder and Hecht contracts will keep them on the team. Only cash hog teams like Montreal, Toronto, or NYR can afford to send contracts like that to the minors, so let's be realistic. Hecht has actually done well in pre-season, so even though I don't want him on the team I can't reasonably believe that he should be sent to Portland. Tallinder's contract can actually be put to some kind of use with one of the above options, but it will all depend on what Myers, Butler, and Kennedy show against top talent in real games. We don't really know what Myers or Kennedy can do yet.

Sylvester is wrong about one thing: Myers will not sit. Tallinder or Sekera will be on the bench first - especially the 1st nine games. Also, since when is Ellis a center?

Ellis is a C/LW, if I remember correctly.

Ellis is a C/LW, if I remember correctly.

He can play both, I think he was a center first though.

Hecht is also a Center, and MacArthur can play center as well.

I don't agree with Stafford on the first line, Pominville should be up there if he is going to play like he did two years ago. MacArthur I agree with as a second line guy, he puts up more points than Paille and i worse defensively, an you want your third and fourth line to be a bit better on defense.

Paille should be on the third line with Hecht on the fourth line to get his shit together, have the last three LW's interchangeable depending on who is playing well or not. Because they all could play the second line or fourth lines.

If Myers is here, he plays.
