Can we just fucking shatter this already? They just aren't that good. In fact, they're lucky to even be in the playoffs. Seriously. If we had won even half of our games against them, they'd be clinging to a playoff spot by three points. Not to mention the fact that they seem to get every lucky bounce and bullshit call imaginable when they play us. There is no curse, there is no "they know how to play us," it's just a dumb fluke. There is no fucking way that team can beat us 4 times in 7 games, and I'd be shocked if we played them and it even went to seven.

And fuck it, I'll say it now. I bet April tenth we beat them, and I bet it isn't even close.

Funny, the Tampa play by play guys were talking about how the Lightning always have a hard time with the Sabres and they brought up how we just can't beat Ottawa. They mentioned that the sabres always have a hard time with Atlanta too (which is true) but Tampa always takes care of them easily.

I think that superstition is more suited to the players. The mere thought that a handful of fans can have an impact on a game is ridiculous. Where does it stop? I didn't fold my shirt this way last time, I shaved at 10:07 not 10:03, oh shit, etc.

On the other hand, as a player, whatever you want to do to make yourself more comfortable before a game, do it.

From a purely statistical standpoint, since the lockout, for every game that we have beaten Ottawa, they have beat us 2.5 more times.

Some of those Ottawa teams deserved to do so. This one does not.

right? it may be dumb, but thats how i do. but i wouldnt even want to see it on non game days, so id avoid it all together.
