To be fair, the guy is just going overboard on the belief that Torres' allegiance lies with Toronto. That may well be correct. That doesn't necessarily mean he won't play hard for us, though.

Think about it for a sec.

If Torres REALLY wants to play in Toronto, and he's currently in a city TWO HOURS AWAY from Toronto, wouldn't you think he'd play REALLY HARD since it's more likely that Burkie would notice him?

Accusing someone of tanking it intentionally is a pretty serious accusation. You'd better have some credible sources to back that one up if you're going to throw it out there.

I honestly don't think there is a single professional athlete who would tank intentionally. You don't make it to professional sports with that kind of mentality. That kind of loser's mentality could only belong to desperate fans following a pathetic team... You know, like Leafs fans for example.

Not to mention, he's got a chance with the Sabres to play for a cup; every North American professional's ultimate dream.

Um, we're allowed to disagree with your sentiments. Doesn't make us pricks all because we think you're wrong.

Yeah... That's a disagreement... Okay.
Fuck it. There is no significance in arguing against people on the internet. I wont post on this thread.

I can see why you were pissed off by what Irony said, but you sort of lumped all of us together who disagreed with you.

Blue and Yellow has it 100% right, folks. Torres himself has said that he doesn't care where he plays at the end of this season because he's damned convinced he's going to play in Toronto next season.

Whether or not that means he doesn't give a shit about playing hard for the rest of his time in Buffalo, it does mean he is already looking ahead to leaving for another city.

Tom, however, has a perfect point about him playing EXTRA HARD since he's across a Great Lake from Toronto, basically.

Why the **** wouldn't we play him? Yeah, let's send Adam Mair and Matt Ellis out there, but keep Torres out. Cuz that makes sense.

If Torres is healthy again, doesn't that mean that we have to send a Pirate home?
