Buffalo was confirmed as 1 of 3 teams on his trade deadline list if he were to waive his NTC. Does Darcy go get him this off season?

Thoughts?

Ummm.....ya.......uhh..........the very post itself never claims he is interested in Buffalo.

The information on the 3 Eastern Conference Teams that were listed as draft day inside information came from Bob McKenzie via trade day information. Was it speculation? I don't know, call up Bob McKenzie and ask him.

I kind of need a link for this to be anything at all to think about. We all know how trade rumors get around in Buffalo even if a prick pulled it out of his ass.

I don't mean to be an ass, but i agree. Something like that would have been made into an article somewhere along the way and this is the first time i've ever heard it.

I know like I sound like a total jerk, but I'm just searching for this and I see nothing saying Kabby wants in.

Well, I really don't have a link to McKenzie speaking on it, and besides, this isn't a trade rumor thread. This thread was started to show there may be some friction and Kaberle may have the desire to be moved, but, I did watch McKenzie throughout Feb. into Mar. and in instance, he felt Buffalo was in the top 3 out of some list of 10 that Kaberle was apparantly asked to make, or perportedly asked to make.

Now if it was Eklund, ok, but McKenzie is a pretty reliable source. You want the actually show, go hunt it down in the links somewhere. This was already spoken on multiple times in the lead up to the deadline day in any event, I think I'll stick with the current articles information and I repeat my question, any thoughts on Darcy going after him?

Eh, if he costs too much no. 4 million for him would be max Darcy would pay IMO. Besides we need a back up goalie and a sniper more than anything even though our team is getting a great habit of sniping.

(Pominville)
(Not Roy or Stafford)
(Ennis)

I'm not convinced of that anymore.

With Lydman and Tallinder on the outs, we'll need help of defense more than anything.

Lydman and Tallinder can easily be replaced because they aren't very good...

Man, i'm really not understanding why people are so down on the loodopotomous. I'd rather have him than: Montador/Butler/Sekera/Tallinder/Kalinin/Spacek/Pratt

Hank and Loods are the #2 and #3 defensemen on this team, and it's not even close.

They don't suck, not by a long shot.

I'm not saying they suck I'm saying there not big pieces of the team. Easy to replace.

EXTREME OVERSTATEMENT ALERT!

Tallinder and Loods are DEF NOT GOING TO BE EASY TO REPLACE. You don't "easily" replace two of your top 4 scoring D men, who also happen to be playing better than Rivet, Butler, and most nights Montador. Not to mention their veteran experience, and what Tallinder has done for Myers this year almost guarantees he comes back next year and loods is the odd man out. Sorry, you're just wrong this time man.

See how we do in the post-season, then decide if guys are easily replaceable. It's tough to have a team honing in on 2nd place in the conference, and say 2 of our top 4 d-men could be replaced cheap... especially when our offense was pretty stagnant for over half the season...

As freakin amazing as Myers is, he isn't solely responsible for Tallinder having a good season. He's talented, it just took a young stud with his go-get-em attitude to help get his stride back. And Lydman has always been solid defensively. If you don't recall, those two were our best defensive pairing a few mere years ago. If it weren't for their age, Myers being an absolute beast, Sekera finally starting to shape up and young defensemen like Weber and (to a lesser extent) Gragnani in the pipeline, I'd say to try and sign em both in the offseason. But that isn't going to happen.

As for Kaberle, he's one of the absolute best offensive D in the league. That said, for the right price, ill take him on my team anyday. He'd be ridiculously expensive though.
