Anyway, I would pay... ummm... Not that much, because I can't afford it. I suspect it will be many years before I'll be able to pay for something like that, without saving ahead of time, and I'm sort of a... Well, I'd rather spend my money on something that will last for years, since playoff games are viewable anyway, and thanks to the hopefully forever-lasting Party on the Plaza the atmosphere is available if I really want it and I won't have to spend a dime. :D

I did Game 4 back in 99, 200 level right against the railing, it was not cheap, but worth every penny. Took my wife, her son and my 2 boys.
Sanderson scored his sweetheart of a goal diving infront to put it in.

Cost: $8,450 for all 5 tickets. And thats a deal, considering I am good friends with the gentleman who sold them to me.
I spent an additional 500 or so at the game, so, roughly 9k for the evening and it was worth every penny.

 I agree with that reaction.

I'll stick to Party in the Plaza, or just watching the clinching game (which that wasn't haha) on my TV so I can observe and partake in the neighborhood shenanigans if there is a win.

DOUBLE HOLY SHIT.

500 at the game too? What did you do, buy your whole section nachos??

I paid a few hundred for seats on the glass once and kept thinking: 2 1/2 hours is gonna pass just as slow/fast if I watch this on TV for free. The only difference is whether or not I want to have a few hundred extry bones in my pockets tomorrow morning.

Here's a little trick I discovered: Plant your ass in a chair 12 inches in front of your biggest TV screen...and watch the game! It's almost LIKE being on-the-glass. You can even bang on the fucking glass if you want to! Bathroom's MUCH closer and the eats and drink are LOTS cheaper!

Cha-ching.

Best part: NO OPPOSING FANS!

And at the end of the game, no drunk driving or drunk metro riding: you just drop your sorry ass in your own bed!

By the way.....

Last year when it was established that there would be a Game 7 in the finals between the Penz and Wings, I found tix online on-the-glass and on-the-curve to the right of where the Wings shot twice.

Only 3K for the pair. I say "only" because you would be assured to see the crowning of the champ that night and no matter the teams, THAT would be cool.

Just so happens, those seats were ringside for the final moments when Lidstrom took that last, desparate shot to tie the game, but Fleury made that save. SERIES OVER.

THAT would have been cool to see and if I had the money to spare, I would have spent it and made the trip.

Ya, the tickets were 2 days before the game, hence the price. The 500 was on 3 jerseys for the Boys. My oldest son still has his Hasek Jersey :)

I would pay whatever the going rate is for an available 300 Lvl ticket. For me, the playoffs is about being there, in the arena, or at least in the plaza or a bar or something surrounded by hockey crazed fans. Just get me in the arena and I'm good. Idc where.

I would seriously consider shelling out money for tickets, especially if it was a potential series clinching game. A few things to consider though.

If they lost, I would feel horrible.
With me, getting such tickets would put a series dent in going to any games the following season, if not scrap it completely.

I would though like to know what happens when you have tix to any game that never gets played due to an early end to a series.

Anybody?

Well, I bought tickets for game 6 in the 2002 finals (Canes/Red Wings). Detroit won the series in game 5, so they never got back to Raleigh for game 6. I bought the tickets from some on-line broker. They refunded me the total amount of the "scalped" tickets, minus all the handling, etc. I was actually pretty happy about the whole thing, but that was a transaction with one specific broker 8 years ago, so do your research!

I would pay face value for four 300 level tickets in the back row to any Stanley Cup Finals game played at One Seymour H. Knox III Boulevard.

I'd pay anything to actually see a live Sabres game, I have not been to the HSBC arena since 2001 :snooty:

The last game I went to was in 2008. Not so bad, but I've only been to three total.
