exactly. the lighter color it is, the less taste it has. Canteloupe is similar. You need to get a good one to really enjoy it.

it's my favorite summer snack!


i used to like it. i guess i don't get enough opportunities to eat watermelon, when ever people buy it, it never gets eaten. i've been eating a lot of blueberries and other stuff. go pick them every summer. my aunt used to grow rasberries. i guess abhor is the wrong word. but we'll shall see what things happen as i age. they say tastebuds change. wow i watch too much NOVA.

Know what else I hate? Sea Bass...it's like the only sea food I dislike. I LOVE Lobster, Shrimp, Scallops, Mahi, Tuna, etc...but hate Sea Bass...tastes like flounders ass
