I guess it's times like this when being so far away has it's advantages. I don't really feel a part of any of this drama. I had plenty of go-arounds with ETC, but I might have been #73 in that line.

I do feel like I've been one of the lead antagonists around here over the last few months though (unintentionally of course). Whatever the disagreements were about, I never make judgements about members here, and try to leave those disagreements in those threads. I understand that the internet is an imperfect form of communication, lacking in body language, tone of voice, and facial expressions, so often times tone and intent are lost and cause conflict. Even if the full meaning is understood and disagreements still happen, the topic rarely has much to do with a member's true or full character. Even if it did fully reflect a member's character, the point of this forum is not to necessarily make friends or agree on everything anyway. It's to enjoy talking about the Sabres, share (debate or argue) some different thoughts, and maybe make friends along the way.

All the drama that has been described just seems so ridiculous to me. I just can't imagine getting so worked up over a fan forum. Maybe that's because I'm so thick skinned. A side effect of my job is having people that don't know me or never met me think I'm an asshole or call me various things to my face, all while I maintain a poker face and say, "Uh huh, whatever". If we could try not to be so offended and accept most comments at face value (not reading into them as someone else mentioned) we wouldn't have these silly issues that drain our energy and good spirits.

So to sum it all up, I haven't met anyone here and probably won't except by accident. That doesn't matter because I still enjoy talking, debating, and sometimes arguing over topics with everybody, and none of that stuff means anything deep or judgemental about any of you. It's just talk and banter that we can all choose to join in or avoid at our pleasure. It's too bad that it gets to the point of aggravation for some, but forget that stress and just enjoy the topics with those members that don't piss you off (and just maybe I'll still have people to post with).
