What can we say about Buffalo when they face Ottawa? The biggest thing we can say is how much of a thorn Ottawa has been to Buffalo these past few years. Ottawa was also the last team to knock Buffalo out of the playoffs and with a return to the playoffs from both of these teams this will be a hard fought out battle between two division rivals and two playoff teams. Buffalo has been utterly embarrassed by this Senators squad which lost Dany Heatley to trade before the season yet still puts a dagger into the hearts of the Buffalo Sabres. Spezza and Alfredsson seem to own Miller at every game and the Sabres have yet to win against the Senators this season.
Buffalo locked up the Division with a win against the New York Rangers earlier in the week and have almost nothing to play for except a possible second seed in the East. The Senators also locked up a playoff spot and doesn't have a luxury of moving from the 5th spot where they stand. With their last game of the 09-10 Season Ottawa has a home game and would love to win the entire series matchup between these two clubs.
Buffalo looks for their first win against Ottawa since a 4-2 win on January 9th, 2009, it has been 9 games since the Sabres last defeated Ottawa. How long can this continue for the Sabres?
Nothing else can be said, Buffalo needs to win to secure the 2nd seed in the East, Ottawa has one more game for their last of the 09-10 season until the playoffs.

As I said in the GDT, the call on Rivet was horseshit. The Bruins player was holding onto Rivet's stick like it was the last fucking raft on the Titanic.
