We've played pretty awfully against the Bruins this year. Despite the fact that Rask plays like a god against us, why can't we beat the Bruins?

Their forechecking absolutely murders us. We don't deal well with their physical play, and with Kaleta out, we don't usually come back and hit them - though Torres gigantic hit was fun to watch ( Good for you, Raffi! If you have to play with grinders, glad you're making an impact).

Their strong defensive game also shuts our offense down relatively easily, it seems. Our small forwards get us in trouble when we play them.

If we play them in the playoffs, what makes you think it would be different? I want no part of the Bruins.

We played Lalime yesterday and gave Hecht a maintenance day. We didn't need to try. The last game we played Boston that mattered we won. It's fine.

Listen Boston. WELCOME TO FUCKING MILLER TIME.

tukka rask. the guy scares me. bottom line, he scares me. this kid is just going to get better, and boston will be a very tough team to handle. hes already a top 5 goalie in the NHL. no doubt about it.

Rask can take the Bruins on a run, no doubt about it.

I wouldn't want to play them.

Agreed, besides Ottawa, Boston is the other team I do not want to face in the playoffs. Hopefully we draw Philly in the first round

The Bruins play a boring game. Our team is too busy wanting to watch spongebob while playing them.

Ill tell you why we cant handle them...we're missing Hecht, Vanek, Rivet, Connolly, and played Gerbe, Mancari, Ennis, Sekera/Butler

With the exception of Ennis, none of those guys are overly skilled. I love Gerbe's game, hes a hard working guy, but hes a 35-45 point per season player. Mancari is a bust. Sekera and Butler both serviceable, but neither is very physical.

It's pretty easy to skate Chara against our top two lines, when we're missing some very key depth forwards.

Last night shouldn't get everyone scared

rask doesnt scare me. he is #1 in GAA and save percentage but miller has won more games than rask has even played in this year. get some guys in front of the net. every time we play boston or ottawa we never seem to have bodies in front of the net. then we wonder why we cant score on rask or elliot(who is average at best by the way).

boston does not scare me one bit. yes they play good d but they are HORRIBLE offensively. miller > rask. we can win a series against boston no doubt in my mind.

I really want to see us put some real traffic in front of Rask, actually get up in his grill. Boston does a good job of keeping teams off him - I want to see a fucking dogpile on him - BAD.

Maybe the real question is, with all these teams fighting so hard for playoff spots, what will they have left?

Boston doesn't scare me at all, Rask is the only one who scares me, but who knows if he'll get better or just a fluke season for him?

Boston doesn't have the offensive weapons and have relied almost exclusively on Rask's play to win games.

We can score against them, and Rask can't shut us down all the time, and not for 7 a whole 7 game series.

What I like about the playoffs is the ability to adjust to our opponent over the course of a seven or less game series. We have been very well at responding to an opponent after a loss this season against every one except Ottawa.

Calling a 7th round pick a bust is stupid.

We'll see about rask, yes he's had a great season... but the playoffs are a different monster and we'll see how he holds up.

rask has played over half the season. boston is having a down year scoring, but they have a top 3 pick in the wings, and are generally a young team. boston is built for the future. rask is going to be a very sharp thorn in the sabres side for a very long time. miller may be better then rask, but the gap isnt very big.

We'll see next season how Rask does.

Right now he is really good and if he stays that way, which could happen or couldn't, he will hurt the Sabres until we really figure him out.

no reason for him not to. he was highly thought of as a prospect, he was considered the best goaltending prospect in the NHL. his success is less then shocking.

Every game Buffalo has played against boston this year, they haven't given a ****... Including the ones they won.

I wouldn't worry about it. We'd shell them in the playoffs.

I just look at the terrible D in front of Rask and Chara wilting in the playoffs as he'll be playing 28-30 minutes a night. He's been doing that for a while now. Last night one of the bright spots was how well Derek Roy covered him on the PK.

We didn't make it hard for Rask at all last night. In fact I was laughing at the saves that the Boston fans where flipping over as for the most part, they weren't difficult ones.

The most difficult shot he faced all night was on Roy's goal while Derek totally smoked him. Everyone in the world knew where Roy was shooting that puck...but Tuuka Rask.

The thing we have to worry about is some tool on their roster like Thortnton or Recchi taking a cheap shot at one of our top guys and injuring them. Maybe the only other thing is Montador playing as poorly as he did in the playoffs while a Bruin...but I'll leave that to Dennis Weidman.
