I think you are right that it isn't accounted for in the rule book. The right thing to do is disallow the goal, reset the clock to when Chara came out, and just have a do-over.

It was an official's mistake and the goal would of counted (per CBC)

it would have counted, as the time official let him out. would have been an officials mistake, and the goal would count.

and why lucic was so angry, lydman speared him.
