Well what do you guys consider an elbow? His arm WAS against his body, but the bicept area was what contacted the head. It really does look like leopolds fault for both having his head down, AND leaning/tilting forward so that the only place sutton could hit him was his head. If you're not going to look at whats ahead of you, at least dont put yourself in such a vulnerable position. It was definitely an asshole hit with intent to injure, but...I think technically it was ok, although with the new headhunting 'rules' i'm not sure what's legal anymore.

But overall, his arm was connected to his body, what is he supposed to do, move his arm out of the way and hit him with his upper side chest?

And this is my philosophy.

I will go to Montreal with a wrench. Ask them what they think of this hit. Who ever says keep your head up, I will throw a wrench at them when they look down. When they say "WTF?", I will say keep your head up. Hey man, shouldn't do the elbow period. Doesn't matter if his head is down you don't injure someone just because they can't see it!!!
