And your answer inevitably will be....no. Because Vanek's "value" to the organization states he is worth 7 million. Ellis value to the organization states he is worth considerably less. Why? Performance! The best get paid like the best, and the rest get paid like the rest. It's the same in business....... you are paid what the market states your value is. If we don't think TV is worth $7 mil, we let him go and guess what? Someone gives him $8 million. Same in business, you need to pay the going rate to retain your talent. Once you are deemed to not be worth your salary, you're gone.
