36 hours ago, id have agreed. but seeing a 2-0 lead evaporate, and a third period lead blown... buffalo was in the drivers seat of this series, and now the bruins have momentum going back to boston, and buffalo struggles on the road.

its tough to keep your chin up when this happens. but we all have to, and they have to as well.

At the same time, Buffalo's looked convincingly like the better team most of the series.

Okay, so Miller isn't better than Rask? Obviously he is... Look at his play. No one can doubt he is better than Rask right now. Rask is good, but Miller is better.
Guess what? Pominville and Roy did WAY better than most of the guys on Boston. Hecht would be their second best goalscorer in the season! Best point leader was 53 points!
Myers is a better skater than Chara. No doubt. They are actually pretty even.
And the reason the Bruins are only second to the Devils in FGA is because those teams both play the trap. That's why the B's have so few goals. Sturm has 22, most goals a Bruin had.

I'm just stating facts, ile yo seem to be trying to talk yourself into soemthing.

Wwwwwoooooaaaaaahhhhh.

Hol'on thar buckaroo.

If anything, the series play, as reflected by the series tie, is about even.

Game 1: Periods 1 & 3 go to Buffalo. Period 2 goes to Boston
Game 2: Period 1 goes to Buffalo. Periods 2 & 3...do I really need to say it?

Egh, to each their own. I don't think of goofy deflection goals, or goals that should have been disallowed as being particularly dominant. Even in the second period of game one, I never felt like Boston was a huge threat. I think over the course of the season this team has shown that it doesn't care how many shots it gives up so long as they're the shots we want them to take, i.e. poor angle, low chance shots.

The little potshots and snide comments in this thread need to stop, on all sides.

Disagree like adults, and state your points without all the BS commentary.

Have a problem with what I pointed out? Feel free to address THAT instead of leveling a gratuitous insult.

20-17-4 record on the road this year, how is that a struggle on the road really?

and with Boston having an 18-17-6 record at home, then we don't have too much to worry about.

Every team seems to play better at home, it's just a naturally occurring thing for teams to play better when they are always getting cheered it seems.

I'd say they would have struggle had they not won about half of their away games this year, if they had won only around 15 and still made the playoffs, that is struggling on the road.

There you go; deiscounting the opponents goals while embracing everything that goes in for you as purposeful and premeditated.

Spin it any way you want... :P

In all honesty, once we get into playoffs I don't like to even consider OTL or SOL. To me I see it as simply 20-21. No loser points in the playoffs. That having been said, the Bruins road record was 21-20. ANd they were 18-23 at home.

Um, dude, did you read the comment I was responding to? Are YOU in the habit of laying down after someone gratuitously insults you?

I'm not.

Amazing you would find fault with what I said, but not with the comment and poster who precipitated it.
