I've actually encouraged people on several occasions to use firefox with adblock if you don't like the ads.

It doesn't make me a lot of money (usually pennies a day) and I don't really care.

That's also why it's at the bottom of the page...to google it's displayed, to you guys it's below the fold and may not be viewed at all.

actually, i was gonna ask about this. i remember at my first sabres game in march 2001, the PA announcer was very high pitched and over sold everything. now the current PA guy is more low key and deep voiced. did they change?

im sure some of you listen to "free beer and hotwings" on the radio. well, they started, and still come out of grand rapids, and they do the PA work for the griffins. its pretty funny stuff.

I'm trying to remember when Jay Moran (no relation to our friend Patrick Moran :p) started as the PA announcer. Might have been 03, I'm not sure.

The comment was more aimed at Nicolas Picolas. He wasn't the PA guy, but was the in-arena breaks guy, working the crowd during TV timeouts and such. The Why Guy did it for a year or two, then Bull from 103.3, and the fat slob from KISS. He was so universally hated that he would get booed incessantly every time he came on the jumbotron or the in-arena audio. I just laughed at it, but he was pretty damn terrible.
