Some call those "bird cages", which is fitting because Chara looks like a man eating vulture!

Well, the Sabres don't look confident at all. They seem hesitant to go on the net and in their forecheck. And when they do, they make bad decisions leading to odd man rushes for the Bruins...

Overall, I'm not excited at all this year. They don't play with the same magic from 3-4 years ago. That's probably why the HSBC was so quiet all year long, it's like the fans all knew the Sabres did not have what it took to win the big games this year.

It's not like I'm giving up on them, but I'm disappointed so far... Rant over. I hope I'm wrong :)

I just can't see the Sabres winning this series with their play. It's saddening, but right now its becoming more clearer.

We've looked great in their zone at times and not so great at others. Looks like a playoff series to me.

Timmy hasn't been the same player since getting unloaded on by Mike Fisher years ago. That playoff series he was dominant until that hit.

I think Sekera needs a personal risk assessor because I don't trust him to make his own decisions regarding pinching anymore.

i think timmy is still hurting....

Then sit him and bring someone else up as he's hurting the team or bury him in the lower lines and elevate someone else.

agree, but its the tough debate... is a 75% Timmy better than a playoff experience-less Mancari? or is putting Timmy on a 3rd or 4th line with grinders really going to do anything? its tough, but its the playoffs and you know these guys WANT to play...

That's the problem a 75% Tim Connolly is way better than any of our current prospects other than Ennis. We never got "skill" depth at center, because we've gone after the grinder type prospects the past few years

whao...hide the sleeping pills and 5th of vodka!

I think this is their best forecheck of the series so far, and they have gone to the net hard!

People, the Bruins D is HUGE and the Sabres have diminutive forwards. So it's going to lead to a lot of lost battles, but they are supporting each other and getting to the pucks first, it's a good froecheck.

Darcy should have a very interesting off season because two of his top 6 defenseman are unrestricted and this team needs some scoring help with size.

time to ramp it up for the second. Show them that for the next two games, that's still the road team's period.

This really should come as no shock to anyone. We have seen it all season long from this team.
With that said, this is the playoffs, anything can happen. I hope the boys carry us to a Cup, if they don't, I won't be so dissappointed given my expectations going into the season.
