Thanks, man. Here's another one compliments of Tommy's daughter (keep your hands off, or plan on marrying her)

Holy crap...

Our first pediatrician gave us the best advice I've heard.
"Even if you think the child is very ill, if they're still playing/smiling/laughing, they're fine."

Glad to hear she's ok.

Thanks, Crosscheck. You know, unless you've been a father you really don't understand how tough it is to see your child suffering and not knowing what is wrong. There's still an outside chance it could be mono, but we know it ain't Swine and that's what I wanted to hear.

Well it's scary whenever you get up into those temps.

Super awesome that she's OK, ETC. I had a bout like that with Joshua last year, and I (experiencing first-time-parent freaked-outedness) was ready to panic. Of course, this is for you XC, Joshua kept playing and smiling, and it definitely put me at ease. Had my boy's pediatrician told me the same as he told you, I definitely would have calmed down earlier.

Cheers to parents with healthy kids!

When Madison was 2, she was so sick/dehydrated she needed an IV. We sat in the hospital bed with her for 4 hours as she shivered because the bag of fluids they were pumping into her chilled her body temp....THAT was nerve racking.

Well, the best part is, I'm taking a personal day tomorrow to be with her and make sure the fever breaks. :)

Now, anyone want some scotch?

BTW, anyone else watching Slapshot tonight on VS? They have it running back-to-back. Awesome digital quality.

My older son had Krupp, which is usually worse sounding than it is as an illness. This case was tough, as it accompanied dehydration, so it involved hospitalization, an oxygen tent, and an IV. Tough couple days, which included sleeping at the hospital. Still, there are too many people who's children suffer far worse ailments...

Glad to hear the younger curse is ok. I'll drink to that!

Rum and coke while we're at it! :!:
