Well at least he turns the puck over a lot less than Roy.

Sit every soft sabre Roy, Connolly, Stafford, Pominville, etc....Call up all the goons we can from whatever minor league team we can, and just beat the snot out of Boston.....If we're gonna lose, at least make it entertaining

Tyler Myers - Future captain of the Buffalo Sabres, and future Norris Trophy Winner

Manning the machine gun on the Tyler Myers Bandwagon - just in case any teams have an idea of prying him away from us (3 GM's shot already)

Connolly/Roy - 2 goals in the last 47 playoff games

They need to play a game like they want to win, that third period was a disgrace. They weren't finding ways to get into the offensive zone at all, it was pathetic seeing how easily they turned the puck over, then Boston scored, then it got reversed, Buffalo started to play like it wanted the game. Boston was playing that way the entire game.

If Buffalo doesn't start to pick it up, they won't win another game in this series. They really need to do something soon, or we will see Boston moving on in 5 games instead of the Sabres in possibly 6 or 7.

Go figure.

There were times that he fell into the Roy Camp for Lolligaggers. Not to mention how horrid he shooting got. Seems the further he's been away from Ales Kotalik the better his shot has gotten...sorta like a Hancock thing happening.

He's seemed to put that behind him this season and part of last.

O Grier, our help and assistance, who art just and merciful, and who heareth the supplications of thy people; look down upon us, miserable Sabres fans, have mercy upon us, and deliver us from an early playoff exit. We acknowledge and believe, 0 Grier, that all trials of this playoff series are given by Thee for our chastisement. Grant us, we beseech thee, thy divine helping grace, and endow us with patience and strength to endure our tribulations with complete submission to Thy Will.

Maybe our scoring problems aren't really the team's fault. Maybe there just aren't enough pucks on the ice? Did you ever think of that? No, I didn't think so.

Help us out, Mike.

It's like referees: Marc Joannette, Chris Lee just forgot the rules and started making things up as they went. Pominville gets his stick between the legs of a Bruin and trips him, no call. But a subsequent minor trip against Boston is called. Tyler Ennis gets held for about 30 straight feet and no call.

These two should never see the ice again.

The problem is that there is no desire to win. Guys like Mair, Kaleta, and Torres are showing the desire, but unfortunately they don't have the skill set to be our top scorers. If Roy, Connolly, Pominville, and Stafford had that same determination they would dominate. However, they choose to throw on cruise control and hope for the best.

I'd have to exclude Roy, he is one of the only players outside of Ennis actually being able to be crafty with the puck and trying for a goal.

Stafford was tonight. Pominville was pretty furiously trying to tie the game up also tonight.

I'd say our biggest problem is the lack of a good Connolly. He is not the same player as he was a few months ago with a magic stick. He's been basically flatline. but everyone around him is playing with better control.

Just trying to tell myself that if they manage a win on Monday, they're going back home with the series tied and that puts them in a good position.

He over handles the puck. Why not just pass it or shoot it quickly? He should be benched. He obviously does his own thing.

Yeah that hold on Ennis was just absurd. Good freaking lord.

I don't see why Roy should be excused. He goes out there, tries some stupid pass and then gives it away because it was doomed to fail. He needs to treat the 5 on 5 like he does his penalty killing responsibilities. Him and Pominville are all business when they're killing penalties.

It makes sense we look the way we do with Connolly being a bum.

The center of a line is the quarterback for the break out. His wingers are naturally going to look absent if they aren't getting the puck on the blades of their sticks.
